
2026 CITY COUNCIL ELECTION- May 2, 2026
The City Secretary serves as the Election Administration Official for City elections, Records Manager, and Filing Officer for campaign disclosure statements. All City elections shall be governed, except as otherwise provided by the Charter, by the laws of the State of Texas.

Monday, January 5, 2026, Candidate application packets will be available in the City Secretary’s Office, City Hall, 230 Hwy 39. The candidate’s name and place for which he/she is filing must be affixed by the City Secretary at the time of issuance of the application packet.
The first day for filing an application with the City Secretary is Wednesday, January 14, 2026 and filing continues through Friday, February 13, 2026 at 5:00pm. (Monday, January 19, 2026 is a Federal Holiday, and City Hall will be closed.) Either a filing fee of $100, or a petition which includes not less than 100 qualified and registered City voters must accompany and be presented with the application.

City of Ingram, Texas — May 2, 2026 General Election
The City of Ingram will hold a General Municipal Election on Saturday, May 2, 2026, to elect the following offices:
- Mayor – 2 Yr Term (Position currently held by Claud Jordan)
- City Council Member – 2 Yr Term (currently held by Rocky Hawkins and David Britton)
✅ Candidate Eligibility Requirement
To be eligible to file as a candidate for office in the City of Ingram, an individual must:
- Be a United States citizen
- Be a registered voter within the City of Ingram
- Have resided within the City of Ingram for at least 12 months prior to Election Day

- Not have been determined mentally incapacitated by a final court judgment
- Not have been finally convicted of a felony, unless civil rights have been restored
Eligibility requirements are established by the Texas Election Code and Texas Local Government Code.
