Running for Office
Per state law, the City Secretary’s Office accepts applications from qualified persons interested in running for elected office during the filing period.

Candidate Eligibility Requirements
- At least 18 years old as of the date of application
- A citizen of the United States
- A qualified voter of the City, registered with an effective registration in Ingram
- A City resident for at least one year immediately before the election
- Not delinquent on taxes owed to the City
- Not otherwise disqualified from serving on the City Council by law
Application & Filing Period
Qualified persons may file as candidates during the filing period, 8 AM–Noon and 1:30–5 PM, Monday through Friday (excluding holidays), at the City Secretary’s Office, City Hall, 230 Hwy 39, Ingram, TX 78025.
